Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell is a American TV personality who is a chef, and a ex-teacher at the Institute of Culinary Education. Burrell hosts Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and also serves as the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, with her signature spiky blonde locks and pumped-up persona on the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, shares simple and easy to master cooking techniques that are suitable for the home cook. Chef Burrell is also a part of several of the most prestigious eateries located in New York, studied the culinary landscape and traditions of Italy and competed in the Food Network's Iron Chef America. While growing up in Upstate New York, Chef Burrell was captivated by cooking and eating at an early age. The Culinary Institute of America was the next stage for her following her graduation with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications at Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was an unforgettable experience for me. I couldn't learn enough couldn't achieve enough and couldn't push myself enough. Following graduation, Chef Burrell was able to spend a full period of time in Italy attending Italy's Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners while working at La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin-starred restaurant in Tuscany. During her time in Italy she grew to truly be aware of the philosophies behind Italian food and culture that made a lasting impression in her viewpoint. Burrell was the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board members, which strives to enhance the quality of life for children facing challenges. Burrell also serves as an Juvenile Disease Research Foundation celebrity spokesperson and promotes awareness about the dangers of childhood diabetes. As a guest speaker and teacher she travels across the United States to discuss her passion for cooking as well as her professional career. Anne says she was incredibly fortunate that I could share her true passion with others.
